Family Time

After our trip to Charleston, LA rode back home with us and so we have gotten to have so much family time during our trip! Here are some shots from the week.

Grandmommy and Granddaddy came over to bring me and the boys our birthday gifts so we got to visit! Sweet Alden cuddling with his Granddaddy.

Carson and Grandmommy having some playtime.
That afternoon, we got to go over to Pops' and Grandma Kathy's house to visit.
Alden and Carson were enjoying playing with Gma Kathy's hat!

Such a cute pic of Grandma Kathy and Pops with their grandsons!

Carson playing with Auntie L.A. during my bday dinner

That's right. I turned the big 3-0 and we celebrated with dinner at my parents' house. How fun!

Our First Roadtrip

This past weekend, we took our first roadtrip to Charleston, South Carolina for Peyton's wedding. Luckily, it worked out for us to go through Jacksonville and stop at Scott and Logan's house to let the babies crawl around and play before we bathed and fed them, and then drove the rest of the way at night. They were excellent travelers and we look forward to upcoming trips with our little family!

Alden and Uncle Scott playing with Bandit.
This wedding was definitely the most relaxing one I have ever been a part of. I mean 2 hours before the photographer arrived we were just strolling down King Street doing a little shopping to pass the time! And although I hardly took any pics over the weekend, here is a shot I had to have - the bride doing LA's hair!!!

Summer Fun

I've been so busy the past few weeks getting ready for their birthday party, preparing for a wedding I'm in and everything else that seems to make our lives roll along! Here are a few shots from the past few weeks.

Had to take this shot of Alden's hair - this is what it looked like when he woke from his nap.

The happiest babies playing in the morning!

Playgroup in our backyard - we had 9 babies - all born between the middle of May and the end of July last year - plus one 3 year old - what a fun time! It was so hot that we could only be out there for so long, but fun to get to watch all the babies splash and play.

Alden - sitting by Dawson - trying to drink the water - Carson is watching him like he's crazy. Alden is such a fish - loves the water so much - Carson isn't quite as sure about it, but he is just happy pretty much anywhere he is anyway.

David and his boys on his first Father's Day!
Things happening around here:
They each have 4 teeth now - two up and two down

Alden pulled up today for the first time all by himself from sitting to standing!

Carson is crawling all over the place and is so close to standing on his own, he will do it every now and then for a few seconds.

Alden is clapping his hands and loves to do so. He also waves bye-bye.

Carson is waving bye-bye and also saying "Bye-Bye" - a few times he has even said "Bye-Bye Da-Da" in the mornings to David. He also says "Cup" and "Pu" (short for Puff).
If you say: "What does a Tiger say?" Alden will "roar" like a tiger.
If you say: "What does a Piggy say?" Carson will "snort" like a pig.

They are eating some things with their fingers like bread, cheese and fruit - I guess we need to start on some meat soon - Organic Chicken next on the menu.
At their appointment last week, Carson weighed 16 pounds 9 ounces and had gained a pound and 5 oz in one month! Alden weighed 17 pounds 2 ounces and is now almost in the 3rd percentile!
I guess all this nursing and feeding has really worked! I am now nursing them 4 times per day and they eat solids 3 times - so, I guess we are SLOWLY starting the weaning process - they ARE almost a year old now!!!! No hurry on my part or theirs it seems though - what a great experience this has been.
Finally, a pic of me from Father's Day LAST YEAR - woo! glad not to have all of that weight this year!
