Our Holiday Card.......

Waking up from his nap....Alden LOVES his blankie that Laura gave to him :)

Carson and Alden in their cute Baby's First Christmas pjs that Grandma Kathy and Pops gave them - how cute!!!!

As most of you know, this year we decided not to send a holiday card since we just did baby announcements a few months ago. However, we may still do a new years card if we get a great picture during Christmas. To tide you over......here is our electronic holiday card, from our entire family, including our dog, Maggie.

I must share my brother, Scott and his wife Logan's (and their dog Bandit) holiday card too - they inspired me - how funny are these!!!! http://elfyourself.jibjab.com/view/6X3XkcPXAmr3NOriyNvG

Flip Flop!

Last night, Carson starting fussing around 2:30 am, I saw on the monitor that he had shimmied himself to one far side of the crib. So, I went in there to move him back and realized that he was on his tummy! He turned over for the first time last night - how exciting!!! We have been watching him for a few weeks now and he has been so close.

It is amazing to see this mantle full of stockings this year! Yes, you see 5 of them - we cannot forget our first baby, Maggie - our puggle. She is right in the middle. Santa will have his hands full this year! Thank you to Uncle Leon and Aunt Ellie for these fabulous stockings for the boys!!!

Naked babies!!! After a fresh change, they decided to chill a bit in their diapers and played with their bunnies :)

We went to see the lights again at Dorothy Oven park, this time with Mimi and Grandpa. I got this cute shot of the boys checking out the fully lit Gazebo - they were entranced!

5 Months!!!

Today, Alden and Carson are 5 months old! Needless to say, we cannot believe it has already been 5 months! In the past month, we have had more activity than in the previous 4 months combined! Since they got the OK to meet new people, they have met many new friends and many long-awaiting family members on Thanksgiving Day.

As of today, Alden weighs 12 lbs and Carson weighs 11.7 lbs so they're still growing very well! We do not go back to the Doctor until they are 6 months old but we weighed them at home today.

More new Friends and Family

I thought I should document our storage of milk - when Alden and Carson were in the NICU and were still on IV, the milk I was able to pump was stored until they needed it. When they did begin to eat it by feeding tube, they started at 3 cc of milk - there are 30 cc in an ounce - so you can know what a small amount that was. In the mean time, I was pumping away so that I would be ready to feed them when they were ready. So, now we have months of breastmilk stored in a deep freeze here at our house. Wow - when I look at this I can't belive it was 4.5 months ago that we started this process!!!!

Milk stored from July through today.

Lainey and Alden. Lainey is having a baby girl in January and we had her shower this weekend!!! She's practicing for her new role as mommy!

Kathy and Carson. Kathy is Lainey's mom and is so excited to be a grandmother!

Aunt Ellie was in town from Cleveland to meet the boys - here she is with Alden.

We are now a member of a summer babies playgroup. Here is a shot from our first day: All of the boys - from Left to Right: Colson, Alden, Carson, Jackson and Dawson - all born in July!

New Friends and Family

Now that the boys have had their 4 month checkup, Alden and Carson are now allowed to meet more people! Dr. K said as long as people are healthy, they can meet the boys. So, we did a little bit of meet and greet over the past few days. We still haven't ventured out to a restaurant or anything (Mommy and Daddy DO want to enjoy ourselves when we actually go out!).

As of their appointment on Friday, Alden weighs 11 pounds and Carson weighs 10.5 pounds. They are continuing to stay about a half a pound apart as they have pretty much the entire 4 months. Their growth curve is just fine too. So, we are all happy they're doing so well. The Pediatrician does want us to wait until they are six months old (which is like a full term 4 month old) to start rice cereal, and I have to admit we're thankful - not sure we're quite ready for that!

In addition, the boys are now sleeping about 11 hours at night - we are SO thankful and Mommy feels like a new person!!!

Cousin Gabriel holding Carson - how cute is this!!!

Cousin Talise holding Alden - she looks like a natural!

4 Months Old Today!!!

We cannot believe that Alden and Carson are 4 months old!!! They go to the pediatrician for their 4 month checkup on Friday so we'll post weights then but we think they are somewhere between 10 and 11 pounds. Here is a shot of them today on their 4 month birthday :)
in case you can't see what it says on their shirts.
