Alden's New Moves and St Teresa

October is my absolute favorite month at the beach. We finally have a break from the exhaustive heat yet it is still warm and breezy. We caught this weekend at the perfect times too - with plenty of time in the sand, and some time with the tide out.

Before we left for the beach, the boys had their first taste of bacon - they LOVED it!! (Yes Alden has on a baby soccer headband to keep his hair out of his face while he eats :) )

And now - they are BOTH walking!!! Alden really started cruising at the beach and hasn't stopped yet. Watch him walk here!!

On Sunday afternoon, Grandpa watched both boys for 3 hours. He took them on a walk, played in the playroom and fed them dinner. Great job Grandpa!!

I also have a little monkey on my hands. He wants to climb everything. Unfortunately, once I took this shot of him on the bottom shelf, he spent the next half hour trying to climb to the second shelf!

Ready, Set, SWING!!!

Alden and Carson's little friend, Dawson, came over to play last week. They were entranced by watching Maggie outside the playroom door. Had to snap this cute shot of them :)

For Carson and Alden's birthdays, their grandparents gave them, as their gift, a custom-built swingset! Now that the weather has cooled down, we called Uncle Steve, and he designed and built (with the help of David and Grandpa) a SERIOUS swingset/playhouse for the boys. The plan is that as they grow, we will add parts (slides, rock wall, fort, etc). When Uncle Steve builds - he does it RIGHT! This thing is HUGE!!!! :) We are so happy with how it turned out - thank you!!!

Alden having his first swing - I think this brought back memories from his indoor swing that he used and LOVED for the first few months he was home!!

Grandma Kathy's birthday was on Sunday and we loaded up the boys and headed down to Wakulla Springs! This was their first trip down there and their first time on a boat too! We watched manatees swimming IN the swimming area, took the jungle boat cruise, and had lunch in the lodge - they had a blast!

These beautiful amazing creatures - so neat to see them swimming up so close!
