Alden
On your second birthday, you amaze us every day. Your sweet demeanor and giggly laugh is so wonderful, and we love it when you pipe up and say "I Happy, Mommy!!" in the middle of the most random activities, or just while sitting in your high chair eating lunch. Books and Music are your favorite activities by far - you would sit and listen to music or read a book for hours on end if you could. Of course, you loving playing with your trucks and trains too! You are cautious about new things (just like your Mama) but are always happy when we have something new and fun to do!
Currently, we are working on our counting; and the boys can both count to 20. However, Alden likes to throw the number "Coco" in there. Here's an example of how we practice our counting:
Mommy - "alright, can you count to ten, Alden?"
Alden - "one, two, free, four, five six, seben, eight, nine, ten, coco, eight, nine, ten, coco, eight, nine, ten!"
So funny, - as soon as I say eleven, he continues on with twelve, firteen, fourteen, etc all the way to twenty, but he loves that number Coco!
Carson
Your joyous attitude and never-ending smile make all of our activities much more fun! Your dedication and concentration is impressive; and to see you put all of your cars, trucks and trains in order is so fun. You're a type-A little man in the making! (shocker, coming from you parents!!!). You like order (we do call you Officer Carson from time to time) but are also very happy to try anything new and you have NO fear!!! (Just like your Daddy!) You LOVE to talk and are our narrator of each and every day. Choo Choo Trains are you FAVORITE thing right now, by FAR - especially Thomas!!
Just recently, Carson has started replacing his letter Ts with the letter F. It's pretty cute when he says Choo-Choo Frain, or Fractor. However, Trucks are a whole other story....... It's a little embarrassing when he talks about trucks in public. I work with him and say T--T--Tractor, right? and He says T--T--Fractor! It's so cute!
