Third Birthday

Spring has Sprung!

At 2 years and 9 months of age, Carson and Alden are SO much fun! They are full of personality and independence! Eagerly awaiting their third birthday, they are full of talk about dinosaurs, Lightnin' McQueen, playing at the park, and their favorite colors (pink for Alden and Green for Carson).

Our spring began with a visit to the Red Hills Horse Trials. What a beautiful setting and a wonderful family day!
Alden: Now that is one big horse!!!

Laughing at Granddaddy's Donald Duck voice
Then we went to The River to celebrate Granddaddy's 80th and Aunt Logan's birthdays!

Next up was a 5th birthday party for our firstborn - our canine, Maggie. Five years ago, Nancy and I spent hours and hours of time researching the expansion of our families. And we virtually arrived at Broken Heart Puggles in Arkansas. After many weeks, and much convincing of David and Blaine, our puggles arrived via American Airlines at the Fort Walton Beach Airport. Most of my pictures are from my old camera and are really small but I've included a few. Nancy beat me to the punch in this post so check out her Boney Birthday post for more shots of the girls and the party :) Thank you Nancy and Logan for hosting the festivities!

Who would have known that these little girls from the same litter would have been our first (but not only) experience with multiples.
Sweet little sisters

The birthday party festivities!

Our best shot of the 5 of them.
Really a video of Nancy and I trying to get 3 toddlers and 2 dogs to sit would have been quite entertaining.
Next stop was a trip to Destin to visit Uncle Leon and Aunt Ellie from Cleveland. More to come of the beach photos, but this sweet shot of Grandma Kathy reading to the boys is so sweet.

On Easter Sunday, we went to church and then to a family Easter celebration at Gmom and Gdad's new house in town! It was so great to have everyone all together!
Our "formal" photograph after church before we changed into our comfy clothes :)
The hunt begins.....Alden proud of his first egg :)
Carson on the mission for eggs!
A show and tell afterwards to examine their "loot"
And our "comfy" sunglasses-clad family shot
What a beautiful day!
