Weiss Family: Allow me to Introduce.......

The world of nearly two and a half year old twins. It is certainly not boring - in any way.....

From double teething: Yes - they got their teeth (every single one of them) within a few days of each other each time. We are currently in the midst of 2 year molars - times 8.

To double independence: Alden must cover himself up each and every nap and nighttime - in his certain way and if it differs - there is a problem. Carson must sleep with Sally (his lion which he named Sally) on his chest and cover her with his blankie or sleep is not going to happen. By the way - the monkey in his bed as well as the bear in his bed have both been named Nick (more naming by Carson) . So we must have Nick and Sally and Nick in bed at all time.

To double appetities: They have finally both become quite the eaters. Our grocery bill has increased and I spend a LOT of time in our kitchen. They love food and they certainly seem to enjoy the dining process. It takes them FOREVER to eat. Carson's favorite foods are grilled cheese (so he says - although all he does is eat the crust) and pretty much ANYTHING else. Alden's growing appetite is a new thing, and he has been packing on the pounds to prove it. He loves Peanut Butter and Jelly and Roast Beef. Would eat them at each and every meal if he could.

To double laundry: Seriously. Are all two and a half year olds this messy? I go through a bottle of Shout Advanced Stain Remover at least once a month. It is a miracle product by the way and saves many an outfit from the trashcan.

We LOVE every second of it! They are so much fun! The greatest thing happening right now is that they have started introducing each other to people. Anytime they meet someone new and they are asked their names - Alden introduces Carson first "This is Carson!" - and then Carson says: "and this is my brother Alden!" It is so cute! We don't know why or how they picked this up but it is so fun to watch. They are communicating so much with each other and everyone else these days. When someone asks how old they are, Alden will say that he is 2 and then ask how old that person is. I know everyone who has had toddlers knows this is par for the course, but this is new to us and the experience of seeing these two sweet boys grow up together and be the best of friends as they go through it all (in their own ways) is the best thing that has ever happened to us!

Now, since it has been over a month since the last post, here are some photos of our holiday season thus far.

We went and picked out our tree during Thanksgiving weekend. By far, the earliest we have ever decorated for Christmas but I wanted the house to be decorated the entire month of December for the boys!
