What a whirlwind! Since David and I are now the only siblings left in Tally, there was even more company this year - LA and Mike were home from Denver; Rachel and Jeff were home from Chicago; and Scott and Logan were home from Jacksonville. In addition, David's cousin Jonathan and his new wife Andrea made the trip from Sackets Harbor, New York to be here as well. Needless to say, it was a busy few days..... but how blessed we are to have so many wonderful family members to spend this holiday with - the boys first Christmas too!

Jeff and Carson - we took a walk with Rachel and Jeff and Bob and Kathy on Christmas Eve morning.

All of the Tharpes at First Baptist for Christmas Eve - Scott, Logan, David, Alden, Bill, Caroline, Carson, Pris, LA and Mike. We went to the Children's service this year for the first time because of the babies' schedule - it was wonderful and Alden and Carson were perfect angels throughout the service and they even put up with many pics afterwards :)

Beautiful Alden - just checking things out while everyone was visiting after the service (oh and looking for his thumb.....)

After church, we went to Bob and Kathy's for Christmas Eve dinner.......our family pic! :)

And now with Aunt Rachel and Uncle Jeff too!

Alden and Aunt Rachel

Sweet Carson on Christmas morning at Grandpa and Mimi's house - he LOVES his new Sophie the Giraffe toy :)

A more casual pic of the 4 of us - Carson was loving that his Santa hat on his outfit fit right in his mouth!!

The boys........

Christmas Day at Pops and Grandma Kathy's house - Rachel and Jeff gave Alden and Carson Bears outfits!
Ok, the day after Christmas, David decided to make a "Bacon Explosion". I have to say, I knocked it and knocked it (note this calls for one and a half pounds of bacon and two pounds of sausage......) but I did try it and it was DELICIOUS!!!! David said he was not going to let me have any since I was against it for so long, but he didn't want to deprive the boys so he let me have some :) Wow - we think it is going to be a new day after Christmas tradition with the Weiss Family.

Step 1: Make a lattice weave of bacon

Step 2: roll ground sausage into a log shape and then roll the bacon weave around it.

Step 3: Bake.......

We took a brisk walk while the Bacon Explosion was baking....

Step 4: slice and then devour!!!!

Pops and Alden enjoying the preparation of the Bacon Explosion.

Jonathan and Andrea visiting with Carson.

and then with Alden

Bob and Blythe with the boys after brunch - they sure look like naturals!!!

LA and Mike had to leave to go back to Denver... :( They came over and took a brisk walk with us before they had to leave.

Grandma Kathy playing with Alden and Carson before she and Pops left for the mountains.

The Blues Brothers......Aunt Rachel and Uncle Jeff gave the boys these great House of Blues T's from Chicago
